Women in Public Office: South Africa Programme 2023 – Futurelect
The Women in Public Office: South Africa programme is a unique initiative to provide training and support networks to women and gender non-conforming people who are already in public office, or candidates who wish to run for elected office in the 2024 general election.
5 Long Weekend Seminars
The programme is a targeted effort not only to support the increased representation of women and gender non-conforming people in public office across the ideological spectrum, but also to ensure that numerical representation translates into influence that empowers women to be active participants in leadership and governance.
5 Months of Deep Learning
The programme is a five month intensive programme, comprising leadership development, skills development, and political systems training for aspirant political leaders, regardless of ideology or political affiliation.
Convened by Futurelect Director of Programmes, Dr Sithembile Mbete, the Women in Public Office: South Africa seminars will be delivered by a combination of skilled moderators, subject area experts and experienced government and political leaders from across the political spectrum.
