Windle International Kenya Secondary Education Scholarships 2022 for Urban Refugees – Kenya
Windle International Kenya (WIK), in partnership with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), invites applications for secondary school scholarship opportunities from the KCPE 2021 Urban Refugee candidates from Nairobi and other urban locations including Mombasa, Nakuru, Eldoret and its environs. This scholarship opportunity covers tuition fees and associated costs of study in Kenyan secondary schools for four years. Twenty-Five (25) scholarships will be competitively awarded under this call.
ELEGIBILITY
Every Applicant MUST:
- Have obtained in KCPE; 350 marks and above for BOYS, 330 marks and above for GIRLS, and 250 marks and above for Special Needs Education (SNE) students (Attach copy of stamped KCPE result slip and school leaving certificate).
- Have sat KCPE exam from Public Primary Schools (or low cost Private Schools for Kitengela Applicants).
- Be a registered Urban Refugee (Attach valid Proof of Registration documents).
- Be NOT older than 16 years at the time of application.
- Have secured admission into a public boarding or day secondary school. (Attach copy of school calling/admission letter)
- Not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship.
HOW TO APPLY for the Windle International Kenya Secondary Education Scholarships 2022
- Application forms are available FREE of CHARGE at the WIK Nairobi Office in Lavington Amboseli Road No. 10 off Gitanga Road.
- Application forms can also be downloaded free of charge on the link wik-unhcr scholarship application form
(windle.org) or fill the online form through https://ee.humanitarianresponse.info/x/5NTro2i9 - Applications shall be filled in and submitted together with attachments as stipulated in Section One (Qualification) above, to the WIK Office in Nairobi.
- Candidates are required to submit their applications before Friday 29th April, 2022 at 4:00 PM.
IMPORTANT NOTES
- Female applicants, Orphaned and Unaccompanied minors, SNE candidates and Persons with Specific Needs (PSNs) are encouraged to apply.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for the interviews. Being admitted into a Kenyan Secondary School is not a guarantee for scholarship award.
