University of South Africa (UNISA) Announces New Date For Graduation
Unisa students who have been affected by the postponement of upcoming graduation events may be hearing from the university soon regarding arrangements that are pertinent to their graduation.
University of South Africa (Unisa) has recently stated that they will contact all students who were due to graduate but had their graduation dates postponed.
Unisa Management approved the new dates for all Graduation Ceremonies that were postponed, and the University is in the process of communicating these dates to all identified students via SMS messages and to their myLife E-mail addresses.
The university added that the process of communication will be concluded by Thursday 7 April 2022.
On Tuesday this past week, Unisa announced that postponed graduation events will resume. However, the university also stated that this only applies to students who are on the original graduation schedule and have received invitations to resume graduation events.
“Please note that the graduation ceremonies resuming from tomorrow are ONLY for students who are on the original graduation schedule and have received invitations to this effect.”
At the time, Unisa said graduations would commence on 29 March 2022 and continue until 23 June 2022. There are two graduation sessions per day which take place at 10:00 and 18:00 respectively.
The ceremonies in Pretoria will take place at the ZK Matthews Great Hall, Winnie-Madikizela Mandela Building, Muckleneuck Campus.
Unisa also stated that they are making alternative arrangements for students whose graduations were postponed due to the recent labour dispute.
