TOWNSHIP ECONOMY PARTNERSHIP FUND (TEPF) 2022
Applications are now open for the 2022 TOWNSHIP ECONOMY PARTNERSHIP FUND (TEPF) 2022. The TOWNSHIP ECONOMY PARTNERSHIP FUND (TEPF) is a partnership between the GAUTENG DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (GDED), THE GAUTENG ENTERPRISE PROPELLER (GEP) AND INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (IDC).
The fund supports SMMEs in the TOWNSHIP ECONOMY OF GAUTENG in sectors that include (but not limited to) manufacturing, the Taxi Economy, ICT, Backyard Real Estate Upgrading and Retail.
The IDC and the GEP invites SMMEs and formal Traders in GAUTENG TOWNSHIP ECONOMY to apply for financial support up to R10m. Available support includes LOANS, and BLENDED FINANCE (Combination of GRANTS and LOANS).
QUALIFYING CRITERIA:
To qualify, an SMMEs:
- must operate in GAUTENG and have its head office GAUTENG
- be 100% South African owned
- be trading for over a year
- be registered with CIPC and compliant with SARS
INFORMAL TRADERS MUST:
- have a valid South African Identity document and be 100% S.A owned
- operate in GAUTENG
- submit bank statement to prove history of operations
- have an original and valid trading permit
THE APPLICATION MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY:
- certified identity document, copies directors/members
- business profile
- 3 months bank statement and management account
- FICA documents, eg municipal account, letter from traditional authority
- 6 months cashflow projections
- management accounts after investment if applicable (assistance available)
- business plan
- other type of documents may be required depending on the nature of application
