Tanzania FUNGUO Innovation Application 2022 for impact-driven startups & Scalable Innovative SMEs – (TZS 50 million to TZS 200 million)
The Tanzania FUNGUO Innovation Application 2022 for impact-driven startups & Scalable Innovative SMEs are now open. FUNGUO is a Tanzanian innovation program jointly implemented by UNDP and UNCDF. It is currently supported by the European Union, FCDO, and UNDP, with the main purpose of increasing the number of successfully scaled innovative ventures/start-ups in Tanzania, in order to contribute to national development goals and the accelerated accomplishment of SDGs.
This is accomplished by the program’s contribution to addressing the stumbling blocks and gaps that prevent innovative impact ventures from scaling in three key areas: innovation financing, innovation service delivery, and innovation enabling environment, as well as promoting an environment that encourages development through innovation and empowers innovators, entrepreneurs, and enablers.
Benefits
- Successful candidates will be granted a TZS 50 million to TZS 200 million equity-free responsible grant.
Eligibility
- FUNGUO would like to discover impact-driven startups and scalable innovative SMEs that are lawfully registered in Tanzania and majority-owned by Tanzanians through this Request for Applications (RfA).
- Women-owned and led businesses will be given special consideration.
