Summer School AI & Ethics Application 2022
The AI & Ethics Summer School takes an interdisciplinary approach featuring partners and lecturers from academia, civil society and the AI development community. Various ethical perspectives, covering questions of power relations and society as well as value-sensitive design, are tied into practical considerations using the Machine Learning Life Cycle process.
The programme also provides added value in the form of networking meetings with experts and other participants as well as one-to-one consultations with experts.
At the AI & Ethics Summer School, you will:
- Take part in a modular programme exploring in depth AI-related ethical issues from various theoretical and interdisciplinary angles
- Enhance your practical competence in identifying and handling ethical problems in everyday working life
- In practically oriented workshops given by experts, learn concrete methods you can apply to your own work
- Learn how to embed the discussions and findings in an EU-wide legal context
- Become part of an international interdisciplinary network
Eligibility criteria for participation – Summer School AI & Ethics Application 2022
- This programme is open to young professionals working for AI-oriented companies or start-ups, as well as second-/third-cycle computer science students specializing in AI technologies and second-/third-cycle students of philosophy, law and social sciences with extensive technical knowledge.
- A very good command of English is required.
- The programme provides an opportunity for participants to bring their own work/applications to work on in a team.
- Enrolment is limited to 40 participants selected by a panel of experts in late July.
All talks, discussions and workshops will be held in English.
