Sibikwa Arts Centre, based in Benoni, Ekurhuleni Metro, is a Centre of Excellence committed to providing quality arts education and training, creating and presenting world-class productions, and advocating for the advancement of the creative and cultural industries.
We are seeking 7 young creatives to join our organization as part of the FirstRand First Job internship programme.
1 Marketing intern with a completed qualification in Graphic Design to design marketing material
and assist with developing, implementing, and monitoring media, marketing, and publicity strategies
‘and plans, The applicant must be able to provide examples of marketing material (., posters, Flyers,
logos, etc.) that they have designed.
1 Admin and Financial Intern to provide organizational secretarial assistance and support the Financial Administrator and project managers with financial administration and project management tasks. Completed Project or Financial Administration qualification required.
1 Videography and 4 Performing Arts Interns to form a Female Performing Arts Ensemble that will
create and stage multidisciplinary performances. A strong theatre background, with training and
experience in videography, drama, music or dance, required.
‘This is a 12month fulltime internship, stating 1 July 2022. The 7 successful candidates will receive a
monthly stipend of R3 756.
Eligibility for the Sibikwa Arts Centre Internship Programme 2022
Applicants must:
- Be South African citizen from any ethnic group or gender identfation
- Be between the ages of 18 and 35 years
- Have minimum qualification of matric
- Not have been employed in a fulltime position before
- Have an eagerness to learn and proficient skills in computer programmes (Word, Excel, et), writing,
‘communication, and time management - Have experience in and a passion for the arts
