Position of Chairperson – Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission (EACC) – Public Service Commission Kenya
DECLARATION OF A VACANCY IN THE POSITION OF CHAIRPERSON – ETHICS AND ANTI-CORRUPTION COMMISSION – [ONE (1) POSITION]
PSC Kenya: Pursuant to Sections 10 (1) of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (Amendment) Act, 2011 (Amended 2015), the Public Service Commission hereby invites applications from suitably qualified Kenyans for the position of Chairperson of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission.
ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
For appointment as Chairperson of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, a person should:
(i) hold a degree from a university recognized in Kenya;
(ii) have knowledge and experience of not less than fifteen (15) years in any of the following fields: –
- Ethics and Governance
- Audit
- Law
- Accounting
- Public Administration
- Fraud Investigation
- Leadership
- Public Relations and Media; or
- Religious Studies or Philosophy
- Economics
- Social Studies
(iii) meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution; and
(iv) have had a distinguished career in his/her respective field.
IMPORTANT NOTES – Position of Chairperson – Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission (EACC) – Public Service Commission Kenya
(i) The Chairperson, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission shall be appointed for a single term of six years, shall not be eligible for re-appointment and shall serve on part-time basis.
(ii) The allowances payable to the Chairperson, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, being a State Officer, shall be as determined by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission.
(iii) A person shall not be qualified for appointment as the Chairperson, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission if the person:
(a) is a member of a governing body of a political party:
(b) is an undischarged bankrupt;
(c) has been convicted of a felony; or
(d) has been removed from public office for contravening the provisions of the Constitution or any other law.

(a) Kenya Revenue Authority; (b) Higher Education Loans Board;
(c) A Registered Credit Reference Bureau; (d) Directorate of Criminal Investigations (Police Clearance Certificate);
(e) Printed Online Self-Declaration Application Acknowledgement Receipt or a Self-Declaration Form duly stamped by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission.
(iii) Applications together with detailed curriculum vitae, copies of academic and professional certificates, National Identity Card, testimonials, clearances and any other relevant supporting documents should be submitted as follows:
