PATH Foundation Summer Internships 2022 Program for US Citizens

Summer Internships 2022 – Our exciting and fast-paced internship program is based in Warrenton, Virginia, and made up of two components:

  1. weekly group work and leadership development activities at the PATH Foundation; and
  2. an outside placement with local government or nonprofit organization that serves our community.
Placements may include, but are not limited to:

Nonprofit/Government Agency Support – Diverse opportunities for interns to be placed with a local nonprofit or government organization that is partnered with the PATH Foundation to advance one of our four health priorities: access to health, childhood wellness, mental health, or senior services.

 

Communications/Marketing – Opportunities for interns to work with PATH Foundation staff on communications efforts and community outreach in support of both the PATH Foundation and area nonprofits.

 

PATH Foundation Resource Center – Intern will work with PATH Resource Center staff on initiatives supporting volunteer efforts and nonprofit engagement with area organizations.

In our program, interns will learn and be exposed to:

  • Real world knowledge of nonprofits, nonprofit capacity building and volunteer management.
  • Hands-on work with a variety of nonprofit organizations and government agencies.
  • Participation in regular organizational meetings and community events.
  • Professional and leadership development activities.

Requirements and Qualifications for the PATH Foundation Summer Internships 2022 Program

  1. Applicants must be a rising sophomore, junior or senior in an associate’s or bachelor’s program. Previous PATH interns are ineligible to apply.
  2. All academic disciplines will be considered.
  3. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) preferred.
  4. Applicant must be motivated and organized.
  5. Priority will be given to applicants from our service area, including Fauquier, Rappahannock, and Culpeper Counties.
  6. The PATH Foundation requires all staff to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

 Schedule and Compensation:

  1. Summer 2022 internships will last 9 weeks, beginning Tuesday, May 31 and ending Friday, July 29, 2022.
  2. Interns are compensated at a rate of $15/hour and expected to work 30 hours/week.
  3. Interns are allowed one week unpaid vacation.
