Idit PhD Fellowship 2022 – Call for Applications for the 6th Cohort Globally
The Idit Fellowship, a framework for doctoral students who aspire to conduct multidisciplinary research in the social sciences, is recruiting up to 5 new fellows to join next year’s cohort. This call is for candidates who intend to embark on their doctoral studies in October 2022. Successful applicants should have excelled in a master’s degree (thesis-based) or have other clear evidence for their exceptional potential as a research student (e.g., a first authored published paper in a respectable peer reviewed scientific journal).
The ideal candidate will be eager to work on cutting-edge interdisciplinary research crossing theoretical and methodological approaches from two or more of the following areas:
- Political Science (public administration and policy, international relations, government, and political theory)
- Computer Science
- Information Systems
- Psychology (Including the neuro and cognitive sciences)*Geography and Environmental Studies
- Anthropology* Business Administration
- Natural Resources and Environmental Management* Data Science.
Special consideration will be given to candidates who embrace the use of cutting-edge computational methods. Fellows will receive a substantial monthly stipend, opportunities for academic teaching, exposure to “burning issues” in the social sciences, hand-picked courses and workshops intended to boost professional and personal development, the opportunity to participate in a unique interdisciplinary, conscientious and elite group, funding for attending/presenting in international conferences and personal mentoring focused on developing an academic career.
